Seminars in Catholic Theology - The Gospel of Life and Its Importance for Catholic Laity

The Legacy of Pope St. John Paul II Series | taught by Will Wright

Course description

Inspired by the famous gatherings of JRR Tolkien and CS Lewis at Oxford’s Eagle and Child pub, these seminars feature a presentation on an influential piece of Catholic literature, conversation, prayer, and glass of your favourite beverage.  Please “Bring your own Beverage” of either beer, wine or soft drink to share.

Life, at all ages and stages, is sacred, but this fundamental reality has been attacked in many elements of our society.  Pope St. John Paul II made major contributions to Catholic understanding of all life issues, based on the dignity of each person.

To help us reflect on these themes, this seminar will examine key teachings in the Pope St. John Paul II's encyclical The Gospel of Life.

In this three-week seminar, Will Wright will be our instructor.
